More medal problems for John Kerry

Here is a comment I posted on a website today.

So what should been done with Kerry for his lies?

From the Sun Times

http://www.suntimes.com/output/elect/cst-nws-lips27.html

"...an official Defense Department document summarizing Kerry's military career posted on johnkerry.com, includes a "Silver Star with combat V."

But according to a U.S. Navy spokesman, "Kerry's record is incorrect. The Navy has never issued a 'combat V' to anyone for a Silver Star."

Naval regulations do not allow for the use of a "combat V" for the Silver Star, the third-highest decoration the Navy awards. None of the other services has ever granted a Silver Star "combat V," either. "

Oh, well what is the big deal about a "V" pin anyway? Let's ask John Kerry what he thinks.

From NRO

Scroll down to this: KERRY ON BOORDA [08/27 03:53 PM]

When asked about Adm. Boorda's controvesial "V" pin, Kerry had this to say.

“Is it wrong? Yes, it is very wrong. Sufficient to question his leadership position? The answer is yes, which he clearly understood,” said Sen. John Kerry, a Navy combat veteran who served in Vietnam.

"Sufficient to question his leadership position".

And John Kerry says,

“If you wind up being less than what you’re pretending to be, there is a major confrontation with value and self-esteem and your sense of how others view you.”

That sure sums up John Kerry. But Kerry has more to say,

Of Boorda and his apparent violation, Kerry said: “When you are the chief of them all, it has to weigh even more heavily.”

And Kerry wants to be "chief of them all".

So what did Adm Boorda do when challenged about incorrectly wearing the "V" pin?

"Hours before he was scheduled to meet with Newsweek reporters to discuss the controversy, the admiral went to his home at the Navy Yard and shot himself in the chest."

I don't think Kerry should commit suicide but since Kerry himself says that falsely claiming the "V" pin is "Sufficient to question his leadership position", then John Kerry has to "question his leadership position" and should withdraw as a candidate for President and Commander in Chief.

Kerry's false claims to two "V" pins can be found in his own military records which he posted on his own website.

Assuming all the statements made are correct:
1. Did Kerry claim the 'V' or is it just something on a piece of govt paperwork?
2. Is the Silver Star 'V' something that doesn't exist or has just not been given by the NAVY? Could the award have been modified during one of the (peculiar) re-commendations he received?
Depending on the answers there may be no new stink on Kerry over this one.
