Iraq Election 'On Track'

With 75% of the vote counted in the Afghan presidential elections, the AP is reporting that in Iraq "Preparations for the crucial January election are "on track" and the absence of international observers due to the country's tenuous security should not detract from the vote's credibility, the top U.N. electoral expert here said. "

Success breeds success.

Notice how silent main stream media is on these two successes.

Baghdad, Iraq, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Popular Iraqi support for the nation's interim leaders has fallen below the level of support enjoyed by religious leaders.


And that fact, revealed in a U.S.-financed survey, dims the prospects that Baghdad's moderate, secular administration will beat the clerics in a national election, currently set for January, the Washington Post reported Friday.
