As more information and pictures emerge, Giuliana Sgrena's story continues to fall apart.
Many questions remain unanswered.
Why would the US want to kill her as opposed to other journalists?
Why would the US target an Italian journalist, risk the international outrage we see now and take the chance of losing one of our best allies?
Why wait till after she was kidnapped to kill her? She could have been killed before her kidnapping.
Why just wound her? If the US had targeted her, why not finish the job and kill all of them?
Why wasn't the coalition alerted to her trip to the airport?
Since the Italian's kept her release a secret, how could the US possibly know it was her in the car that sped at them?
Add all of this to the inconsitencies in her story and things just don't add up.
