Islam - Feminists Desert Their Sisters

Tigerhawk has a great post on Feminists and Islamists.

He concludes with this:

Of course, if the white women would support the white men who save the brown women from the brown men, the whole business of saving people would take less time, cost fewer lives, and in general be a lot less tedious for everybody.

The same could be said for Iraq now. Just imagine all the lives that could be saved and how much faster the re-construction of Iraq could be accomplished, if France, Germany, Russia, etc., all joined in and helped.

Even if those countries were afraid of an anti-war backlash from their citizens, they could say they are helping the Iraqi people not the American military. How could those that marched to end sanctions, march now against providing aid to the Iraqi people?

On almost every major issue of our times, the left and anti-war movement have been on the wrong side of history. Will they ever learn?
