France deports African 'rioter'

Aren't the news media suppose to report basic jounalistic facts like the who, what, when, where, etc? The BBC must have missed that part of their training.

Take this BBC report for example.

France says it has carried out the first deportation of a foreigner convicted of taking part in the November riots that swept the country.

French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy said a 22-year-old man had been flown back to Mali.

Why would France deport a "rioter"? I'm sure rioting is against the law in France but deportation is a little drastic isn't it?

And why were these people rioting?

What's this man's background.

Do all of these missing facts have anything to do with Muslims? You betcha.
