Islam - With Islamization taboos grow

Which is why Islam is to be resisted.

Recently the New York Times ran a story which contained this:

"I keep hearing, 'Why are liberals silent?' " said Said al-Ashmawy, an Egyptian judge and author of books on political Islam. "How can we write? Who is going to protect me? Who is going to publish for me in the first place? With the Islamization of the society, the list of taboos has been increasing daily. You should not write about religion. You should not write about politics or women. Then what is left?"

And recently Muslims around the world have been rioting at the cartoons depicting their prophet Muhammad.

As the Times article notes, "the list of taboos has been increasing daily". Here's proof they're right.

MADRID - The Spanish high street store Bershka has recalled its latest collection from its shops all over the world after complaints from some Muslim customers in Dubai.

Bershka’s new range contains a label with a picture of a garden scene and what looks like a mosque or a Middle Eastern palace. The illustration is done in the style of a postcard from an exotic holiday, with handwriting and an arrow pointing to the building and a few hearts.

On the picture is written: "We slept here!!!" Beneath the picture are the words: "New...Collection 2006. Look! Here is where we are... wonderful! Isn’t it!?"

According to the United Arab Emirates newspaper Khaleej Times, some shoppers in the Dubai Bershka complained to the shop assistant about the labels using "images of a mosque mixed with symbols of love and suggestive comments".

You think that's bad? Here in Britain the growing list of Muslim taboos includes for example banned books like Animal Farm, piggy banks, ceramic pigs from butcher shop windows and Piglet too.

I remember when growing up horror movies were all the rage especially vampire ones. People in those movies used mirrors, garlic, silver bullets and wooden stakes to ward off the evil ones. Now all you need is the symbol of a pig. Go figure.
