Afghan attack 'kills civilians'

An attack aimed at a US-led coalition base in Afghanistan has killed at least 10 people, officials have said.

The dead were reported to be civilians killed when rockets or mortars missed the base and landed on a village in the eastern province of Kunar.

Police said Taleban insurgents carried out the attack, in Chawkai district.
