Denmark arrests Muslim terror suspects

As usual, that's not the BBC's headline. Here's how the BBC describe the suspects.

"Officials gave no details about the alleged plot, but said the two had already acquired explosive material.

Another six people of immigrant origin were briefly detained during a series of raids in and around Copenhagen, but were released after questioning. "

No details? The first paragraph says they are linked to al Qaeda. And buried in the BBC report we are told this:

"We [Jakob Scharf Danish police intelligence agency] would describe the main suspects as militant Islamists with international contacts, including leading members of al-Qaeda," he added. "

Compare the BBC's headline "Denmark arrests 'bomb' suspects " with the London Times "Danish 'terror plot' foiled with arrests". Also look at the Times first paragraph.

"Danish authorities said that plans to launch terror attacks had been foiled as a result of the arrests yesterday of eight alleged Islamic militants with links to al-Qa'eda."

While the BBC tries to downplay the Islamic terror plot the Times gives you the truth.
