Iraq - BBC caught lying again

Here's the BBC report which says this:

"A few days ago, I attended a wake for two of their Iraqi staff - a photographer and a driver - who were killed in Baghdad in July.

An American Apache helicopter opened fire on them. The US military says it was engaged in a fire-fight with insurgents at the time. "

That is an outright lie and the BBC knows it. Here is an earlier BBC report on the incident which contains the same lie at first and then reverses itself buried in the article.

"Two of them, Namir and Saeed, were killed by the US military during what it says was a battle with insurgents. "

Buried in the article we are later told:

"It is known they were injured after the Apaches opened fire, but it is still not clear exactly how the two men died. "

Note how Richard Galpin's report makes it sound like the US deliberately targeted the reporters and yet the BBC admit "it is still not clear exactly how the two men died."
