BBC Trust to meet DG over lapses

If they were serious, this meeting would take weeks.

"Mr Thompson told staff: "We cannot allow even a small number of lapses, whether intentional or as a result of sloppiness, to undermine our reputation and the confidence of the public."

Really? You've been doing it for years.

Leave it to the BBC to leave out some important details of the story. The Times has much more.

This is priceless:

"Michael Grade, the former BBC Chairman, who is now doing the same job at ITV, last week gave a warning of declining standards in the industry, saying that young production staff “don’t understand that you don’t lie to audiences at any time”. "

Do tell Michael. Please remind us of why you were forced to resign? And Michael, please explain how all of these lies happened while you ran the BBC.

Another priceless bit:

"The BBC boss is expected to mention that the BBC has just introduced a new training programme, aimed at educating BBC and independent production staff about the importance of not deceiving viewers."

The last time the BBC introduced some training scheme, they hired this guy.

"The Arabic satellite TV channel al-Jazeera says its editor-in-chief has submitted his resignation.

According to an al-Jazeera spokesman, Ibrahim Helal said he had had "a tempting offer" from the BBC.

The charity BBC World Service Trust confirmed that Mr Helal was joining to work on a variety of media training projects over the next two years.

Not only is the BBC incabable of admitting its left wing bias, Britain as a whole is loath to admit that its venerable BBC is rotten to the core. How else to explain the status quo after the BBC openly brag they are left wing, their own report backs that up, as does years of evidence. More here.

But so defensive of the BBC is the Times, that even it seems to turn a blind eye to the evils of the BBC.

"The Director-General is also expected to admit that there have been other cases of misleading programming and phone-ins, although so far there is no evidence of another serious breach. One case brought to light involves the daytime antiques series Flog It! A woman was shown apparently bidding for a lot when she had actually been filmed at an earlier sale. In this case, her husband complained that the footage had been sequenced together to create a misleading impression in the 2005 episode."

WHAT!!!! No evidence!?! Open your friggin eyes people. The BBC readily admit, infact, they brag about the fact that they lie to the public. Listen to Justin Webb, the BBC Washington correspondent, brag about lying about America.

"America is often portrayed as an ignorant, unsophisticated sort of place, full of bible bashers and ruled to a dangerous extent by trashy television, superstition and religious bigotry, a place lacking in respect for evidence based knowledge.

I know that is how it is portrayed because I have done my bit to paint that picture, and that picture is in many respects a true one. "

The BBC brag about lying, openly admit that they are left wing, their own report backs that up, there is years of evidence and the Times says there is no evidence!

Not only does the emperor not have any clothes, he's been telling you that for years and yet the crowd insits he does. Such is the inverted reality that prevades Britain today, where the victim becomes the aggressor and the liar becomes the truth teller. One of the many reasons Britain's capital is called Londonistan complete with a terrorist loving and dictator loving mad mayor.

Wake up Britain, wake up.
