Earlier I posted about a New York Times article on Islam and Europe. In that article the NYT argues that things are different in the US because,
The difference, many here say, is that the United States was basically created by immigrants, and Europe was not. Therefore, especially after the civil rights movement, diversity in the United States has come to be seen as a value in itself, while Europe sees it as threatening.
That bothered me a bit but it was early in the morning and I had to get the kids to school, so I let it go. While I would like to think that is true, I wonder how the Muslim community see themselves in the US.
We already know that some Muslim "charities", in the US, have been shut down for funding terrorism and one of the largest US Muslim "civil rights" group, CAIR has many links to terrorists. And when I post the photo about the gala you will notice under the lists of speakers, a spot is reserved for a CAIR representative.
We also know that the Muslim community seems strangely quiet as regards incidents like the beheading of Americans and the killing of Dutch film maker Van Gough. When a march, to show disgust at the Nick Berg beheading, was organized in one of the largest Muslim communities, only 25 people showed up. That included the organizers and the press.
Now, LGF reports on what it calls "the enemy within".
Rod Dreher forwarded the link to this absolutely astounding page at the web site of the Metroplex Organization of Muslims in North Texas, describing a gala event they held last weekend that went completely unnoticed: a tribute to the great Islamic visionary, the Ayatollah Khomeini.
And as LGF predicted the page has been removed but LGF saved a photo of what the gala was all about. I'll post the picture after this post is up.
The folks at the Metroplex Organization of Muslims in North Texas might want to visit this site and see the photographic evidence of what 25 years of Islam looks like in Iran. GRAPHIC WARNING!! This site is very graphic! You are warned.
Be sure and send a link to the site to any left wing moonbats and anti-war types you know. Because this is what we are fighting against in Iraq.
UPDATE: Jihad Watch has more on the speakers at the "gala".
