Kids say the darnest things

Last week my 8 year old daughter's teacher pronounced that George Bush was stupid because he once almost choked to death on a pretzel.

My daughter raised her hand to ask a question.

Her teacher, aware of her American heritage, called on her.

"Sir, is everyone who chokes on a pretzel stupid?"

The class erupted in laughter as my daughter looked around amazed that she had said something funny.

Her teacher is probably unaware that Bush has a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. But hey, you would have thought that the fact that he is President of the United States would have been enough proof that Bush is not stupid. Unless what he really means is that Americans are stupid.

I am waiting on an explanation from the school.
