That's the answer Melanie Phillips got from Iqbal Sacranie, general secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain.
Then I asked Iqbal Sacranie, general secretary of the MCB,whether he thought that any public statements about Islamic terrorism, or any speculation about the number of Muslims in Britain who might support Islamic terrorism, would constitute incitement to religious hatred. He said: 'There is no such thing as an Islamic terrorist. This is deeply offensive. Saying Muslims are terrorists would be covered by this provision'.
Er, excuse me dumbass, but I think bin Laden might take offense at your assertion that he is not a Muslim. Or are you saying bin Laden is not a terrorist? Or are you just trying to con us? Since bin Laden is both a Muslim and a terrorist, you are trying to con the British public.
So, there we have it from the so called "moderate" Muslim side. I've said it many times on this site, and you can disagree if you want, there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim and Mr. Sacranie just proved it.
Mr. Sacranie would have us believe that Muslim terrorist do not exist. He needs to put on those ruby slippers and start repeating, "there's not place like home, there's no place like home" because he sure isn't in Kansas anymore.
Santa doesn't exist and unicorns don't exist but Muslim terrorist sure as hell exist and they are right in this country declaring war on us infidels!
Here's a flash for you Sacranie, one of your Muslim brethern, Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammed, says he's a Muslim and your not.
Those who did not wish to either leave or fight would not be regarded as Muslims, said Sheikh Omar, condemning in particular the Muslim Council of Britain for urging the Muslim community to cooperate with the British government.
Further, since you are a non-Muslim to him, he has declared war on you as well as us. How do you like them apples?
Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammed, leader of the now officially disbanded Islamic militant group Al Muhajiroun told United Press International Saturday that as the covenant of security under which Muslims previously lived in Britain has been broken, Muslims must now consider themselves at war.
"And I declare we should ourselves join the global Islamic camp against the global crusade camp," he said.
Sacranie, it may have escaped your attention but, not all Muslims are terrorists (but the potential is there), but all the terrorists have been Muslims.
Care to explain your statment in light of these facts, Mr. Sacranie?
People, World War IV started a long time ago and like it or not, you're in it. Unlike in previous World Wars, the enemy this time is not a state but, sad to say, a religion.
The 9/11 commission in the US identified the particular sect of Islam that is the root of world terrorism, Wahabbism. Given statements like Mr. Sacranie, can we really say it is limited to just one sect? I know it is distasteful to consider a religion an enemy, especially since Britain and the US pride themselves on religious tolerance. But they declared war on us and so called "moderate" Muslims would have us believe it did not happen.
Mr. Sacranie, like the pirates of old, has been under sail with no flag, but he has now hoisted his true colors, the Jolly Roger.
