Britain - UK's Holy Men of Hate

In an earlier post today I noted that Germany had joined the growing list of countries that are fed up with The Holy Men of Hate. In addition, Holland, France, Italy and others are fed up with the Holy Men Of Hate.

For some strange reason, Britian tolerates the Holy Men Of Hate.

London, 13 April (AKI) - A Jamaican-born militant Islamic preacher has been giving 'jihad' or holy war a new meaning, by reportedly urging impoverished Muslims to take matters into their own hands and wage war on infidel institutions such as banks - by robbing them. "Are you poor? Don't cry about it, but wage jihad, also by holding up banks," London-based Sheikh Abdullah al-Faisal, a well-known supporter of al-Qaeda, urged the faithful in a sermon. A report on the sermon was published by website globalterroralert.com

Al-Faisal is not the only Holy man of hate allowed to preach jihad in the UK. In fact, one has openly declared war on Britain.

Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammed, leader of the now officially disbanded Islamic militant group Al Muhajiroun told United Press International Saturday that as the covenant of security under which Muslims previously lived in Britain has been broken, Muslims must now consider themselves at war.

Why are these people not arrested and their Mosques searched for evidence of terrorism? And what does the Muslim Council of Britian have to say about all of this?

The Muslim Council of Britain is the moderate voice in the UK.

Here is what Iqbal Sacranie, general secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain had to say about Muslim terrorists.'There is no such thing as an Islamic terrorist. This is deeply offensive. Saying Muslims are terrorists would be covered by this provision'.

Seems some holy men of hate here in the UK disagree with you Iqbal.

UPDATE

Looks like Al-Faisal is already serving time for earlier jihad sermons.

UPDATE II

Just in case you think these guys are in the minority, this is how The New York Times describes Al Muhajiroun:

After eavesdropping for months on his nightly praise of the Sept. 11 hijackers and of suicide bombings, Scotland Yard said last week that it was investigating Sheik Omar, the leader of Al Muhajiroun, Britain's largest Muslim group, and officials are exploring whether they can deport him. "We're fed up with him," said a senior British official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "He needs to be stopped, or he needs to go."

So, what's the hold up? The UK elections maybe?
