Iraq - "They Can't Do It"

More defeatism from the Democrats.

"We've got nation building by the U.S. military, and that's not a mission for the U.S. military," Murtha said. "I've said this over and over again: They're not good at nation building. You've given them a mission which they cannot carry out. They do the best they can, but they can't do it."

I love it! I hope all the Democrats keep on the defeatist bandwagon. It's exactly what they'll get at the next elections - defeat.

And listen to this:

Before the speech, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said 41 Democratic senators had sent a letter to Bush "to show that we need to get things right in Iraq after these elections."

Reid overlooks the fact that we got "things right" in the first place which saw the ouster of Saddam and 3 elections within one year. All of which gave Iraq a new president, a constitution and now a parliament.

Some quagmire, eh? The Democrats sound more and more like the boy who cried wolf.
