Approval Ratings for Pelosi Hit a New Low

Deservedly so.

More reasons why all drugs should be legalized

Cocaine being cut down to 5 per cent purity as seizures rise. But look what they're adding.

"Drug dealers are becoming so frustrated by seizures of cocaine that they are selling it at only 5 per cent purity after mixing in cutting agents such as boric acid and worming powder, according to the head of the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca). "

And there are other consequences.

"He told the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee that operations to intercept shipments around the world, together with increased international co-operation in disrupting markets, meant that pure cocaine had never been more expensive in Britain."

Which will lead to ever increasing crime as addicts try to obtain money to feed their habit.

Obama takes credit for the Iran revolution

But Obama said he didn't want to meddle. As always, Obama and the Democrats want to have it both ways.

Now let's see, what other country just won its freedom in the region? Oh yeah, Iraq! Iran's neighbor! Ok, help me out here, who freed Iraq? Well bless my soul, it was Bush.

Yes, that AP. Shame they didn't do their job during the campaign.

Ban the Burkha

That's what this British Muslim woman says.

"The veil is simply a tool of oppression which is being used to alienate and control women under the guise of religious freedom. "

Many Muslim scholars agree.

Update: Britain could never debate the burka like France. Thanks to the left.

Update: UK Muslim leaders condemn Sarkozy over burqa ban. See?

All liars to Congress not equal

Congress to investigate if Sosa lied under oath

"The chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Democratic Rep. Edolphus Towns of New York, says that the committee takes seriously suggestions that a witness had been misleading."

And yet they won't investigate Pelosi's claims that the CIA lied to Congress. Which is more important to the security of the nation, a baseball player who may have lied over drugs, or the CIA lying about national security issues?

French legislators worried about rise of burqa use

They should be.

"Close to 60 legislators signed a proposal calling for a parliamentary commission to look into the spread of the burqa, a garment that they said amounted "to a breach of individual freedoms on our national territory."

France, home to Europe's largest Muslim minority, is strongly attached to its secular values and to gender equality, and many see the burqa as an infringement of women's rights which is increasingly being imposed on women by fundamentalists."

Even Muslim scholars agree it's really a radical political statement and not a religious requirement.

Some think so.

Live blogging the Iran uprising

Great information here.

Great analysis on Iran

Read the whole thing.

"James Taranto and others have remarked on the eye-opening effect the Iranian regime’s brutality has had on the Left punditocracy. Ah, now they get it! The mullahs are brutal thugs who share none of our values nor desire for peace. … But one wonders what if anything the members of Obama’s national security team have learned. Have they figured out that there is no deal to be had with a regime of this nature? Does this give them any concern about their self-assurances that we can “contain” a nuclear-armed Iran? Well it should."

Letterman's attack on Palin exposes the left

I posted earlier how the Internet and blogs have exposed the evil of the left and urged them to keep on talking - the more they talk the more they condemn themselves. But Andrew Sullivan doesn't have the audience Letterman has.

What's interesting to me is, how silent the left were during the campaign when Palin and her family were viciously attacked. Since there's no election to win, the left and the feminist amongst their ranks, feel free to stand up against such attacks. Typical left wing hypocrites.

Here is a round up of what people are saying about Letterman and the wider implications for the left. As I said in my earlier post, keep on talking.

See here, here and here.

Iran - Insurrection: Day 2 with videos

Let's hope the people prevail.

Where's the stimulus?

asks the L.A. Times. You know things are bad for Obama when the LA Times asks such questions.

Andrew Sullivan exposed

See Here and here.

Thanks to the Internet and blogs, more and more people are realizing how evil the left really are. It will take some time to undo all the damage the left have done, but the more they speak, the more they condemn themselves. Keep talking Sullivan.

New York Times credits Obama for democracy in Middle East

Just think, Obama's only been in office 5 months. That's some feat then! Listen as the Times tries to rewrite history. But, giving all the credit to Obama is a streatch too far and the Times knows it.

"Second, for real politics to happen you need space. There are a million things to hate about President Bush’s costly and wrenching wars. But the fact is, in ousting Saddam in Iraq in 2003 and mobilizing the U.N. to push Syria out of Lebanon in 2005, he opened space for real democratic politics that had not existed in Iraq or Lebanon for decades."

So Bush opened space but could do little else and it took Obama to part the seas.

"Finally, along came President Barack Hussein Obama. Arab and Muslim regimes found it very useful to run against George Bush. The Bush team demonized them, and they demonized the Bush team. Autocratic regimes, like Iran’s, drew energy and legitimacy from that confrontation, and it made it very easy for them to discredit anyone associated with America. Mr. Obama’s soft power has defused a lot of that. As result, “pro-American” is not such an insult anymore. "

Note the use of Obama's middle name, Hussein.

Now let's see, how many elections were held in Iraq while Bush was President?

Don't you just love the way the Times thinks that the Arab world will love us now that Obama is President? Seems Iran didn't get the message.

The sooner the Times goes bust the better.

Government wants to sell-by dates

It is if you want to lower the number of pensioners in the country.

Biden: We were wrong

Contradicts Obama.

"Biden tells "Meet the Press" that "everyone guessed wrong" on the impact of the stimulus, economy was worse off than anyone thought.

Backs away from the estimate that the funds could create or save 3.5 million jobs, instead promises 600,000 by the end of the summer."

Boy, that's a climb down.

Obama Adds $600 Billion in Taxes

That's what you get with a far left socialist like Obama.

Gay community turns on Obama

Glenn has a roundup of links. It's not just gays though.

“In hindsight, perhaps, it should be no surprise that Mr. Obama is shying away from this front in the cultural wars. He broke faith with liberal supporters over warrantless wiretaps, the repetition of the Bush administration’s arguments on ’state secrets,’ and the continuation of the Bush administration’s indefinite military detentions of terrorism suspects. The surprise should be that some supporters seem to have confused a politician’s campaign promises with his actual policies.”

Obama's body language

is revealing.

EU security proposals are 'dangerously authoritarian'

"National frontiers should no longer restrict our activities," he said. Uh, oh.

Obama’s Fantasy Islam

is dangerous.

Obama Historically Challenged

But he gets a pass from the left wing media of course.

Roseanne Barr turns on Obama

More and more people are. It's sad for America, but I just love seeing these leftoids get what they deserve.

Letterman, Palin and the hypocritical left

Tim Blair has the video and round up of reactions to Letterman's sickening attack on Palin. See here and here.

Could you imagine the world's outrage if Letterman had done such a thing to Obama's daughter? But, since Palin is a Republican, it's ok - even if it's a 14 year old girl involved. The left truly are a sick bunch.

Update. What does the left wing media have to say about it all? They cover it up of course.

First UK Armed Forces Day

is June 27. About time.

The Exodus Obama Forgot to Mention

The left would rather you didn't know about them.

does Obama actually want Detroit to survive?

Good question.

Joe Biden gaffe machine

rolls on.

Rememer, Obama put Biden in charge of the stimulus package.

"But according to The American Spectator, when reporters asked the VP to explain how the White House even came up with the 600,000 number, he asked for a pass, saying a question like that is "above his pay grade" and, "I'm sorry, I'm not an economist. My background is in foreign policy."

Glenn has a round up of links.

Obama admits he is wrong

but wants to accelerate the problems.

"Neither the acceleration nor the jobs goal are new. Both represent a White House repackaging of promises and projects to blunt criticism that the effects haven't been worth the historic price tag. And the job estimate is so murky, it can never be verified.

The economy has shed 1.6 million jobs since the stimulus measure was signed in February, far overshadowing White House announcements estimating the effort has saved 150,000 jobs. Public opinion of Obama's handling of the economy has declined along with the jobs data.

For the first time, the administration admitted the economic forecasts it used to sell the stimulus were overly optimistic."

No kidding. Everyone told them that at the time but Obama refuses to listen. Things will only get worse and we've got 4 more years of this.

CNN - Obama's unemployment "a rosy spin"

CNN? Yep, CNN. They only have themselves to blame as they anointed Obama. But we're the ones who have to suffer.

"Friday’s news that the official unemployment rate is now at a 26-year high of 9.4% is actually a rosy spin on what is really happening. " ...

"And when you add up U-3 and all the underutilized workers the official U-6 rate for May 2009 is 16.4%."...

It sure makes it hard to buy into the green shoots theory just yet."

Related: The Media Fall for Phony 'Jobs' Claims

The media aren't falling for the phony claims, they're just continuing to be Obama's mouth piece.

A Deception, and a Reluctance to Ask Questions

This happens repeatedly because the left wing media want it to be true.

"Last month, after actual veterans uncovered his deceptions, Mr. Strandlof, 32, was detained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and then arrested by the Denver police on an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license. "

Something the New York Times was unwilling to do during the election. Compare this to how the entire left wing media went after Joe the Plumber.

Scandal could derail Democratic dreams

So much for Pelosi's pledge to drain the swamp.

Has Obama won America world respect?

Er, no.

"One of Barack Obama’s campaign arguments was that he was going to make us respected in the world. Let’s review what we’ve got: North Korea firing missiles, Hugo Chavez calling us socialist, no one willing to buy US Treasury bonds, and Chinese students laughing at our Treasury Secretary."

Don't forget Iran's snub, or tensions between Germany, Obama's snub of Sarkozy, EU's rebuff of Obama's economic plan and NATO's refusal to help out more in Afghanistan.

Obama "You scare me" letter genuine

A lot of people share the same sentiments.

Most Americans trust Republicans on Economy

Should have thought about it before electing a far left socialist like Obama.

"Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on six out of 10 key issues, including the top issue of the economy.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 45% now trust the GOP more to handle economic issues, while 39% trust Democrats more."

Tunnel fraud leaves Gazans facing ruin

So much for the heroic struggle.

Remember, as you read this, Egypt closed its border with Gaza at the same time as Israel and for the same reason - Palestinian terrorists.

"At first the tunnels emerged as smuggling routes; then they became the vital lifeline for a Gaza under economic siege by Israel. But many people who invested in the tunnels now see them quite differently - as a source of ruination."

The tunnels come from Egypt because Egypt closed its border with Gaza. So, officially at least, isn't Egypt putting Gaza "under economic siege" as well?

Guardian surprised American's stand up for free speech

This is classic.

"So I decided to see if a little English charm could draw the evidently coy MIC out of its shell and, to my surprise, I was patched straight through by the operator to J.J. McNelis, MIC's marketing president. What proceeded was one of the more memorable calls I've made as a journalist. "

Read the transcript of the call and you'll see why it was memorable. Read the whole thing but here's a snippet.

"Me: But "Global Warming is Baloney" is certainly a different sort of message, a more political viewpoint?

McNelis: I would agree that it's a viewpoint, but not necessarily a political one. But we're not sheeple around here, and while Barack Obama would like to have you believe that no one is entitled to have a view other than his, if someone wants to stand up and say "Global Warming is Baloney", then I'm all for it. It doesn't matter to me, whether I believe in it or not. They have first amendment rights to say whatever's on their mind. And nobody dictates otherwise."

Europe leaning right

Great. Just great. This comes at a time when America has just elected the most far left socialist President in its history.

Taliban raped me, but they also respected me

Only someone on the left could utter such nonsense.

"In November 2008 a Dutch journalist, Joanie de Rijke, was abducted by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. She was held captive, raped repeatedly, and released after six days for a ransom of 100,000 euros ($137,000). After her ordeal, she acknowledged that her captors “did horrible things to me,” but added in several media interviews “They also respected me,” and emphasized “They are not monsters.”"

Will this encourage the Taliban to rape more women?

Obama decline dinner with the Sarkozys

I thought Obama was going to unite the world?

"President Obama’s reluctance to spend more than minimum time with the French leader on his visit for the D-Day anniversary has come as an embarrassment to the Elysée Palace."

Obama's even got Germany mad at us.

And Obama's ending the alliance with Israel.

He's even pissed off the gay community.

All in just over 100 days. Can't wait for the next 100.

Americans are Tired of Affirmative Action

especially if you call it by its correct name of racial profiling.

Obama's 'Holy Koran'

Remember, this is no accident. Obama spent years in a madrass.

I'll add this to what Andy points out. Obama quotes the Koran with this:

"The Holy Koran teaches that whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind;"

Islam does not consider infidels to be "innocent".

The End of America’s Strategic Alliance with Israel?

Thanks to Obama.

Gay groups grow impatient with Obama

They only have themselves to blame for not vetting him.

"Gay rights campaigners, most of them Democrats who supported Obama in November, have begun to voice their public frustration with Obama’s inaction, small jokes at their community’s expense and deafening silence on what they see as the signal civil rights issue of this era."

Obama Tax Would Move Microsoft Jobs Offshore

Microsoft won't be the only ones.

Obama faces tension with Germany

But I thought Obama was going to make everyone love us again?

"On a more basic level, there is a sense that the Obama administration is ignoring the needs and counsel of longtime allies."

And what happened to all that talk about listening to our allies?

Obama is just killing the progressive movement.

From the Washington Post no less.

The BBC doubting global warming?

Strange times indeed.

"This is just a snapshot, but it's fairly representative. The report contains so many extrapolations derived from guesswork based on estimates inferred from unsuitable data sets that you have to ask some serious questions about the methodology."

You don't say. Al Gore call your office.

Obama said to be open to taxing health benefits

Another campaign promise broken. The list continues to grow.

"President Barack Obama is leaving the door open to taxing health care benefits, something he campaigned hard against while running for president. "

So You Want to Be Tortured?

But by whom?

"This “torture stuff” is complete and utter nonsense. Everyone, take a look at the Al-Qaeda torture handbook, you can read it here. Now, ask yourself why every pudit, Berkeley student, news reporter, and radio DJ is willing to be “waterboarded” and not willing to be subjected to any of the torture techniques listed by our good friends at Al-Qaeda?"

I think you know the answer to that.

65 percent oppose shutting Gitmo

According to Gallup.

Chavez says "Comrade" Obama more left-wing

Sadly, Obama is President of America.

"CARACAS, June 2 (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday that he and Cuban ally Fidel Castro risk being more conservative than U.S. President Barack Obama as Washington prepares to take control of General Motors Corp."

The End Of Newspapers?

If it is they only have themselves to blame. America is pretty much split between left and right. By openly supporting the left, newspapers alienated half of their possible audience. With the advent of blogs even their left wing audience discovered the press were lying to them. You can see the results in the chart.

Why is the media afraid of Islam?

Good question.

Arabian Proverb

" A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away."

What Hezbollah really wants

Nice to see the BBC report the truth for once.

"Hezbollah will become a purely political party only when Israel ceases to exist," he said.

Ditto the Palestinians.

And here's a sorely needed wake up call for Britain.

"But more recently, the United Kingdom government decided to distinguish between the two faces of Hezbollah - by talking to its politicians while keeping the military wing on the terrorist list.

But Mahmoud, the fighter, says the UK is fooling itself by making this distinction.

"We have two arms, but we belong to one body. There is no such things as the military wing or the political wing of Hezbollah - we are all part of one resistance," he said. "

The Obama flip-flops you don't know

The list is growing.

And in related news...Gay community bitterly disappointed by Obama's lack of action

"WASHINGTON — Gays and lesbians voted for President Barack Obama almost en masse after he pledged to be a relentless advocate for their civil rights while making his run for the White House.

But now the disappointment felt among the gay community about Obama's inaction on issues that include same-sex marriage and the military's so-called "don't ask, don't tell" policy is turning into outright anger."

We tried to get you people to investigate and challenge Obama, but, along with the left wing media, you ignored us and now look at the mess you're in.

Muslim Slavery mother-in-law divides town

The fact that the town is divided over this issue says a lot about Muslims in the UK.

Take a look at the picture accompanying this BBC report and then read the first paragraph of the report.

"On the surface Naseebah Bibi did not appear to be an out-of-the-ordinary figure."

Only in BBC land would her appearance appear normal.

As regards integration, this too says a lot about Muslims in Britain.

"The three women, who cannot speak English, were married to her three sons, who were also their first cousins."

And this...

"Nas, a local community worker, said: "As a first generation Asian we have experienced these things first hand and I don't think it's enslavement."

More still..

"But he condemned Bibi's abusive actions, saying: "It's acceptable to treat women like this in other countries but not in our country, in England no, it's not acceptable."

Ah, but why is that so? Is he saying Islam permits it?

Then there's the denial.

""I am surprised that it has taken so long to come to light - it could have been fear or their [the victims'] lack of awareness. "

Or could it be, as the headline suggests, the Muslim community supported the abuse?
