Shouldn't this be getting more attention?
And this...
Non-combat injuries, illnesses are No. 1 hazard in Iraq
Oh, silly me, they don't fit the anti war narrative.

UK - Lessons in hate found at leading mosques
This happens around the world.
The author of the report seems confused however.
There is nothing reassuring about any of this. Just because they didn't find more doesn't mean there isn't more. And the fact that they did find such material in the top mosques is very worring, but not surprising if you're a regular reader of mine. Hardliners taking over mosques is nothing new.
UK Islamic schools teach that Jews and Christians are apes and pigs. Similar teachings have been found in Islamic schools in the US.
What all this tells us is that most people are in denial about the religion of Islam or they prefer not address a religious problem - and Islam is a problem.
"Books calling for the beheading of lapsed Muslims, ordering women to remain indoors and forbidding interfaith marriage are being sold inside some of Britain’s leading mosques, according to research seen by The Times....
Extremist literature, including passages supporting the stoning of adulterers and waging violent jihad, was also found on sale at many other mosques regarded as mainstream institutions. "
The author of the report seems confused however.
"The report said: “On the one hand, the results were reassuring: in only a minority of institutions – approximately 25 per cent – was radical material found.
“What is more worrying is that these are among the best-funded and most dynamic institutions in Muslim Britain – some of which are held up as mainstream bodies. Many of the institutions featured here have been endowed with official recognition.” "

UK - Another liberal admits he's been wrong all his life
The BBC gets a mention too.
The BBC still love Guevara and Castro.
Here's another liberal facing reality.
"A couple, including Peter Cole (once News Review editor at this paper) have become eminent professors. Gwynn Pritchard – our firebrand leader in black leather bomber jacket and black beret just like Che Guevara – joined the BBC and rose to become head of Welsh broadcasting."

Iraq - The pulse of America
The news out of Iraq is so big that even the left wing media have to report on the sharp drop in deaths. While the Democrats call Iraq a failure and want to cut and run, the American public cheer the troops in public and shun Hollywood's left wing films about the war.
Good for them.
Good for them.
Iraq - Beauchamp roundup
UK - BBC: "delusional soul"
sums up the BBC so well.
Do read the whole article but this sums up the BBC so well.
Do read the whole article but this sums up the BBC so well.
"Here is the utopian temperament, the ghost of Munich 1938, the delusional soul that reduces evil to economics and idolizes peace at the expense of human freedom. While Mr. Sachs was waxing eloquent about our shared values, terrorists in Iraq drove a car to a security check point and were waved through because there were two small children in the back seat. They fled the vehicle and blew it up—with the children inside. While Mr. Sachs was dining with fellow appeasers on the BBC expense account, Britain sentenced five men to life in prison for a bomb plot linked to al Qaeda that could have killed thousands of civilians; in addition to chemical weapons, they had hoped to acquire nuclear material to create a dirty bomb.
Not to worry: Such unpleasantness can swiftly be overcome with the right mix of technology, politics and patience. “The issue here is not religious strife that is out of control and boiling over,” says Mr. Sachs. “It’s controllable. It’s a matter of politics, it’s a matter of management, it’s a matter of understanding, it’s a matter of institutions, it’s a matter of how we behave. We have to see how there’s another way. So these are processes, peace is a process.”
Lewis Mumford, who joined Reinhold Niebuhr’s group of “Christian realists” in the 1930s, saw a different and more sinister process at work. “Unless we head off these false hopes, lazy wishful attitudes, and perfectionist illusions, we will continue to defeat all our legitimate expectations and deplete the moral energies we will badly need to achieve the relative goods that will be open to us,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, the spirit of utopianism has not yet been exorcized.”
As Mr. Sachs completes his lecture series this week, now would be a good time to call in an exorcist or two."

Violence in Iraq drops 70%
You'd think this would be getting wider coverage.
But that doesn't stop Reuters trying to spoil the good news.
Here's an independent report that shows things are improving despite Reuters claims.
"BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Violence in Iraq has dropped by 70 percent since the end of June, when U.S. forces completed their build-up of 30,000 extra troops to stabilize the war-torn country, the Interior Ministry said on Monday."

US - Republican wins Louisiana govenors race
The BBC led the anti-American charge blaming the Republicans, especially Bush, for the Katrina disaster. The people of Louisiana knew the truth.
Not by the BBC she wasn't. Neither was New Orleans mayor, Ray Nagin, who was branded a hero by the BBC. It was't till I sent a photograph of the flooded buses all neatly lined up, that Nagin failed to use for evacuating the poor, that one BBC reporter told the truth.
"The Republican took 54% of the vote to win outright over his nearest rival, Democrat Walter Boasso, who got 18%.
Outgoing Democratic Governor Kathleen Blanco chose not to run again after she was widely criticised for her handling of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina crisis."

Iraq - The deepest shame of Haditha
Belongs to the Democrats and the left wing media.
We're waiting Murtha.
"Many, including Members of Congress, were looking for another moral bonfire to discredit the cause in Iraq, and they found a pretext in Haditha. The critics rushed to judgment; facts and evidence were discarded to fit the antiwar template.."
Most despicably, they created and stoked a political atmosphere that exposes American soldiers in the line of duty, risking and often losing their lives, to criminal liability for the chaos of war. This is the deepest shame of Haditha, and the one for which apologies ought to be made
We're waiting Murtha.
US - Feds recommend closing Saudi school in Va.
The UK should be doing the same thing.
Remember that when some left wing nut tries to tell you that it's a small fringe element of Islam that is causing all the terror around the world.
When are we going to start focusing on the Mosques? We know from undercover investigations and videos, that the same hate is being preached in the mosques.
"In a report released Thursday, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom broadly criticized what it calls a lack of religious freedom in Saudi society and promotion of religious extremism at Saudi schools.
Particular criticism is leveled at the Islamic Saudi Academy, a private school serving nearly 1,000 students in grades K-12 at two campuses in northern Virginia's Fairfax County.
The commission's report says the academy hews closely to the curriculum used at Saudi schools, which they criticize for promoting hatred of and intolerance against Jews, Christians and Shiite Muslims."

US - How The New York Times Fell Apart
This would be happening to the BBC if we were not forced to pay for it.
"Like most newspapers, the Times decided to become more timely, more hip, and more judgmental than the electronic media -- when it should have become better reported, more objective, and better written; professionalism being the one arena where the new competitors would have a hard time competing. What made the Times' decision not to pursue this strategy particularly stupid was that it was, after all, 'America's newspaper of record', a role in which it justly reveled. But you can't hold that title while pandering to the political and cultural views of readers on the Upper West Side."
UK - Muslim Tories: 'Iran has right to nuclear arms'
And that's not all.

But it is Iran that has threatened to wipe Israel off the map and not the reverse.
"It also argues that preachers who advocate a rejection of democracy and its institutions should not be denied entry into Britain."
Now you know whose side their on.
"The group calls on the party to be more sympathetic towards Iran. It says: "Given Iran's position in the Middle East, facing a nuclear-armed Israel, Iran appears to have legitimate reasons for seeking nuclear weapons for defensive purposes."
But it is Iran that has threatened to wipe Israel off the map and not the reverse.

BBC website hit in newsroom cost cuts
Which means less left wing propaganda put out by the BBC.
The BBC's quality has been suffering for years. In the case of the BBC, less is much better.
"They said the website will be updated less frequently and carry fewer stories as a result of budgets being slashed.
The BBC is expected to merge television, radio and online newsrooms under a series of cost-cutting measures aimed at reducing the number of BBC journalists who cover the same stories.
However, with three operations integrated into one, BBC insiders fear quality will suffer as reporters become overstretched."

drop in violence in Iraq is becoming hard to dispute
An inconvient truth.
"A month later, there isn't much room for such debate, at least about the latest figures. In September, Iraqi civilian deaths were down 52 percent from August and 77 percent from September 2006, according to the Web site icasualties.org. The Iraqi Health Ministry and the Associated Press reported similar results. U.S. soldiers killed in action numbered 43 -- down 43 percent from August and 64 percent from May, which had the highest monthly figure so far this year. The American combat death total was the lowest since July 2006 and was one of the five lowest monthly counts since the insurgency in Iraq took off in April 2004.
During the first 12 days of October the death rates of Iraqis and Americans fell still further. So far during the Muslim month of Ramadan, which began Sept. 13 and ends this weekend, 36 U.S. soldiers have been reported as killed in hostile actions. That is remarkable given that the surge has deployed more American troops in more dangerous places and that in the past al-Qaeda has staged major offensives during Ramadan. Last year, at least 97 American troops died in combat during Ramadan. Al-Qaeda tried to step up attacks this year, U.S. commanders say -- so far, with stunningly little success."

UK - How the BBC is a danger to the public
This BBC report is seemingly designed to make it look like innocent youth are caught up in what the BBC must think are draconian anti terror laws.
So, you're thinking, wow he was arrested for having a book? Notice how the BBC intentionally leave out what the "material for terrorist purposes" was and any details on the boys background? Here's why.
Even this report leaves out the boys religion and we are left to infer that from his trip to Pakistan. But there is no doubt that the BBC's report is designed to undermine current anti terror laws; the inference is that now they are locking up kids for possessing books. The BBC have been aiding terrorists for years.
"The 17-year-old, who was arrested in the Dewsbury area of West Yorkshire on Monday, was given bail after a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
It is alleged he had a copy of the "Anarchists' Cookbook", containing instructions on how to make home-made explosives.
His next court hearing has been set for 25 October.
The teenager faces two charges under the Terrorism Act 2000.
The first charge relates to the possession of material for terrorist purposes in October last year.
The second relates to the collection or possession of information useful in the preparation of an act of terrorism."
So, you're thinking, wow he was arrested for having a book? Notice how the BBC intentionally leave out what the "material for terrorist purposes" was and any details on the boys background? Here's why.
"A court in London was told two weeks ago that the schoolboy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have had chemicals used for making bombs under his bed. He is accused of plotting to make bombs following a trip to Pakistan and to have had a copy of the Anarchists Cookbook on his computer.
During an anti-terror raid on his home about 500g of potassium nitrate was allegedly found under his bed in the room he shared with his younger brother. Potassium nitrate is a critical oxidising component of gunpowder.
Prosecutors said the Anarchists Cookbook included 17 references to potassium nitrate in its "Improvised Explosives" section which contained "clear instructions on how to make explosives".
He too is charged with possess-ion of material for terrorism purposes and with collection or possession of information useful in the preparation of an act of terrorism. The case was adjourned."
Even this report leaves out the boys religion and we are left to infer that from his trip to Pakistan. But there is no doubt that the BBC's report is designed to undermine current anti terror laws; the inference is that now they are locking up kids for possessing books. UK - Less translation, more English
That's what the government says local communities should do.
Seems all are not getting the message though.
Oops.
"The change in approach is to be accompanied by guidance to local authorities that they should only spend money on translating documents into foreign languages where necessary, and put a much greater emphasis on teaching English."
Seems all are not getting the message though.

UK - Muslim medical students get picky
Then boot them from the course.
Even Muslim leaders in the UK don't support them.
"Some Muslim medical students are refusing to attend lectures or answer exam questions on alcohol-related or sexually transmitted diseases because they claim it offends their religious beliefs.
Some trainee doctors say learning to treat the diseases conflicts with their faith, which states that Muslims should not drink alcohol and rejects sexual promiscuity.
A small number of Muslim medical students have even refused to treat patients of the opposite sex. One male student was prepared to fail his final exams rather than carry out a basic examination of a female patient."
Even Muslim leaders in the UK don't support them.
"Both the Muslim Council of Britain and Muslim Doctors and Dentist Association said they were aware of students opting out but did not support them.
Dr Abdul Majid Katme, of the Islamic Medical Association, said: “To learn about alcohol, to learn about sexually transmitted disease, to learn about abortion, it gives us more evidence to campaign against it. There is a difference between learning and practising.
“It is obligatory for Muslim doctors and students to learn about everything. The prophet said, ‘Learn about witchcraft, but don’t practise it’.”

UK - BBC's John Simpson admits to BBC "agenda"
John Simpson epitomizes everything that is wrong with the BBC.
Not so popular then is it John? Tsk tsk, John, the BBC isn't suppose to have an agenda, you're suppose to report the news. Instead you embark upon anti American reporting like this John.
No, seriously, follow the link, Simpson actually said that. This is the same Simpson and BBC that attack America for any and everything she does outside her borders. Be it stopping genocide in the Bosnian war, terrorism in Afghanistan, deposing Saddam or even helping out in the tsunami relief, the BBC and Simpson were first on the line to criticize America.
But Simpson, like most BBC people, hate Britain as well.
Does Simpson seriously believe that no one in Britain knows that there are British soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq? How is that isolationism? Simpson also fails to mention that a large part of the rise in crime and drugs in this country can be traced to the left's failed policy of "multicultralism" which led to open borders; a policy agenda the BBC pushes.
Next, Simpson doesn't hide the fact that he feels we are all too stupid to just recieve the facts and draw our own conclusions, he brags about it.
Got that? Simpson says the BBC should tell us what the BBC thinks we should know instead of just giving us the facts. Why yes John, that is appallingly elitist and you're right it shouldn't be implemented. This gives you an insight into the group think at the BBC; and it should send shivers down your back. It doesn't sound so much elitist as Communisim, John.
Simpson then goes on to put the blame on politics, as if. The BBC has no one to blame but itself John. It's the BBC's lies, fabrications and admissions, like yours John, that the BBC is left wing, anti American, full of bias and pushes this "agenda", that are to blame for the BBC's downfall.
Simpson continues his attack on America and decends further into denial.
Are we to belive Simpson that Blair, Prime Minister of Britain, couldn't make up his own mind about the BBC's shameful reporting of the Katrina disaster? Simpson also fails to point out that those "leading figures in America" were the Democrats.
The BBC, in pursuit of its anti American agenda, did all it could to attack, not just Bush, but America. It took us bloggers to expose the lies and bias at the BBC. One BBC reporter was brave enough to look at our evidence and make an attempt to balance the reporting.
Yes, John Simpson epitomizes what's wrong with the BBC today.
"We have popularised our reporting and our agenda: that hasn't worked."
Not so popular then is it John? Tsk tsk, John, the BBC isn't suppose to have an agenda, you're suppose to report the news. Instead you embark upon anti American reporting like this John.
"Once upon a time, we used to think that this kind of isolationism was something particularly American, like high levels of crime, the possession of guns and wide-scale drug addiction. Americans weren't interested much in anything that happened outside their city and state, let alone outside their country, whereas Britons were. "
"Now, however, we find that in all of these areas - crime, drugs and isolationism - Britain was merely lagging behind America. It wasn't fundamentally different, after all."
"Instead, I feel, we should use the opportunity to return to the original principles outlined by the BBC's founder John Reith: the business of informing and educating people as well as entertaining them. That may not be fashionable, but it's what we know we ought to be doing. Forget the focus groups and even, if necessary, the viewing figures - let's tell people what we think they ought to know. This idea is appallingly elitist, of course, and that alone is probably enough to ensure that it will never be implemented. "
Got that? Simpson says the BBC should tell us what the BBC thinks we should know instead of just giving us the facts. Why yes John, that is appallingly elitist and you're right it shouldn't be implemented. This gives you an insight into the group think at the BBC; and it should send shivers down your back. Simpson continues his attack on America and decends further into denial.
"Tony Blair told me yesterday that he was in Delhi last week and he turned on the BBC World Service to see what was happening in New Orleans, and he said it was just full of hate at America and gloating about our troubles," Murdoch told the conference.
The reporting which seems to have upset Blair was about the evident failures of the Bush administration to act efficiently or quickly to come to the aid of one of America's major cities.
Some leading figures in America suggested that the President deserved to be impeached for his slowness in responding to the catastrophe. Did Blair really believe that none of this should be reported? "

Hillary Clinton Exposed:Crimes caught on tape
This should end her political career for good. But thanks to the left wing media ignoring the story, it probably won't.
Army, Marines exceed recruiting goals
But what is Reuters headline?
And yet in their report Reuters has this to say:
"Army, Marines say they made recruiting goals"
And yet in their report Reuters has this to say:
"Army officials said they had exceeded by several hundred their target of recruiting 80,000 new active duty soldiers for fiscal year 2007, which ended on September 30.
Last month, the Army said it had already gone beyond its retention target of getting 62,200 soldiers to re-enlist for the same period.
The Marine Corps said it had exceeded its goal of growing its ranks to 184,000 in the same fiscal year and now had 186,000 Marines."
UK - Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT), a radical organisation
Nice of the BBC to point that out. Now, will the BBC continue to point this admission out the next time the report on HT? It's a rare occasion when the BBC are critical of any Islamic group.

Iraq - Mission Accomplished
Nice to see some in the media notice.
Do read the whole thing.
"The answer is made much easier by the fact that three and a half years after the start of the insurgency, most of the big questions in Iraq have been resolved. Moreover, they have been resolved in ways that are mostly towards the positive end of the range of outcomes imagined at the start of the project. The country is whole. It has embraced the ballot box. It has created a fair and popular constitution. It has avoided all-out civil war. It has not been taken over by Iran. It has put an end to Kurdish and marsh Arab genocide, and anti-Shia apartheid. It has rejected mass revenge against the Sunnis. As shown in the great national votes of 2005 and the noisy celebrations of the Iraq football team's success in July, Iraq survived the Saddam Hussein era with a sense of national unity; even the Kurds—whose reluctant commitment to autonomy rather than full independence is in no danger of changing—celebrated. Iraq's condition has not caused a sectarian apocalypse across the region. The country has ceased to be a threat to the world or its region. The only neighbours threatened by its status today are the leaders in Damascus, Riyadh and Tehran."

US - Democrats vote for the Iraq war again
And to show how the Democrat presidential candidates play politics with the war in Iraq, look who didn't show up for the vote.
Now they can all say "I didn't vote to fund the war". Yes, but they didn't vote to end it either, now did they? Obama's failure to show up for the vote is even more rich since he had this to say about the war in Iraq today.
Good question Obama and your answer is?

The BBC has been monitoring the death toll since the surge began using a weekly updated graph on its website. But what does the BBC do when the death rates "plunge"? The BBC promptly stop updating the graph. Imagine that.
"The number of Iraqi civilians killed per month in bombings and shootings has fallen to the lowest level this year, the Iraqi government says.
In September, 884 civilians were killed by violence, less than half the figure for August, the government said.
The BBC's Jon Brain in Baghdad says the figures suggest the so-called surge involving 30,000 extra US troops is having some success.
September also saw the lowest number of US troops killed for more than a year."

global Islamic jihad movement is splitting apart
This is the kind of story that MSM should be doing, but this doesn't fit their left wing agenda.
Iraq - al Qaeda desperate for help
That's according to a letter from the Al Qaida commander, identified as Abu Osama Al Tunisi.
"Shortly before he died, Al Tunisi wrote a letter that warned of a threat to Al Qaida operations in Karkh. The lettter, found by the U.S. military, sought guidance from Al Qaida leaders amid coalition operations that hampered Al Tunisi's network.
"We are so desperate for your help," the letter read."
You won't see this on the BBC.

BBC's Newsround fed youngsters Al Qaeda propaganda
This is not surprising since the BBC have been feeding the adults al Qaeda propaganda for years.
If you have to ask...
As I've documented for years, the BBC is rotten to the core.
"Dame Pauline, who headed the Government's Joint Intelligence Committee and is described as the most formidable female diplomat Britain has produced, said the new version was even worse.
"It still says it's all America's fault, and now for daring to be involved in the Middle East at all," she said.
"It wasn't 'people linked to' al Qaeda who killed 3,000 people that day, it was al Qaeda itself.
"Osama bin Laden even boasted of the attacks. Is the BBC really saying that if you're 'unhappy' it's quite normal behaviour to murder people?
"Is the BBC so naive as to take al Qaeda's propaganda at face value? Or is there something more sinister at work here?"
If you have to ask...
"I never imagined the rot would spread to the BBC's children's programmes. I was wrong."
