Clerics urge new jihad over Gaza

Revealing that a BBC reporter was the only Westerner allowed to attend - very revealing.

"At a weekend meeting in Istanbul, 200 religious scholars and clerics met senior Hamas officials to plot a new jihad centred on Gaza."

Oh, the name of the conference? "Global Anti-Aggression Campaign"

This too is revealing.

"In closed meetings after sessions delegates focussed on the creation of a "third Jihadist front" - the first two being Afghanistan and Iraq. The intensity of the Israeli attack had "awakened all Muslims," Mr Awajy claimed. "

Well, they've lost one, losing another and will probably lose the third.

And there's this:

Mohammed Nazzal, a senior Hamas leader based in Damascus, challenged Arab governments to "open their borders and allow the fighters to come."

Remember how the left are always blaming Israel for closing their border with Gaza? The left wing media rarely mention Egypt closed its borders at the same time as Israel for the very same reason - to stop Palestinian terrorists. So it would seem these jihadists are not as united as they would have us believe.

Notice how in every article about Gaza the BBC insert this boilerplate:

"The 23 days of bombardment of Gaza, in which some 1,300 people, many of them civilians and nearly 300 of them children, are believed to have died..."

Yes, thanks to the BBC, a lot of people do believe those numbers even though the evidence shows the numbers to be far lower and mostly Hamas terrorists.

Also notice how the BBC are always cheerleaders for Palestinian terrorists.

"More importantly, this conference represented something of a coup for Hamas. They were promised weapons, money and fighters. "

So how's that promise working out?

Egypt blocks Hamas cash at Rafah border

"Egyptian security forces blocked two Hamas officials on Tuesday from entering the Islamist-run Gaza Strip with night-vision goggles and around $900,000 in cash, security and customs sources said."

But that's not how the BBC predicted this would go down.

"The question remains whether such rhetoric can or will be translated into action. Israel keeps a tight blockade on the Gaza Strip, where Hamas exercises de facto control, and Israel's other borders are also heavily guarded. "

Again, Israel is the bad guy here even though Egypt too is blockading Gaza to stop the Palestinian terrorists.
