Iraq - Iraqis Turning on Zarqawi

For some strange reason The Washington Post buried this good news from Iraq.

Over the past month, the official said, there has been a series of raids following a surge in tips from Iraqis unhappy with Zarqawi and his operation. These tend to be traditional Iraqi leaders -- sheiks and imams -- upset with the organization, especially its recent execution of Sunni Arabs in Ramadi, the provincial capital of Anbar. "Their feeling is that al Qaeda in Iraq has overstepped its bounds," he said.

And we're getting more and more tips all the time.

A FILM about gay rights should hardly raise an eyebrow in The Netherlands, which for centuries has prided itself as a beacon of freedom of expression and was the first country to legalise gay marriage.

But when Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somali refugee turned Dutch MP, started making a new film about the oppression of homosexuals under Islam, the threat to everyone taking part was deemed so great that she decided there would be no faces shown on screen and no end credits and that the entire production team would remain anonymous.
Ali, a "lapsed Muslim" who revealed this week that she had finished the script, lives in a safe house under 24-hour protection.

The precaution is as wise as the courage is extraordinary: Theo van Gogh, the director of Ali's previous film, about domestic violence under Islam, was killed -- repeatedly shot and almost decapitated in broad daylight in the streets of Amsterdam by an Islamic extremist.

Impaled on a knife in van Gogh's chest was a five-page note declaring holy war on The Netherlands and threatening death to other public figures deemed "enemies of Islam".

A year after his murder, The Netherlands is a country transformed. Previously, only the Queen and Prime Minister had police protection, and ministers cycled to their ministries.

Now, many politicians, writers and artists are considered to be in such danger that they have permanent armed guards and are driven around in bomb-proof armoured cars. The Interior Ministry has set up a special unit assessing death threats from Islamic extremists and providing protection squads.

"In The Netherlands, [Muslim] terrorists want to threaten not only the public ... they also want to kill public figures, such as artists, academics and politicians," he said. "It is not special in terms of Islam -- in Iran, it is normal to kill people who criticise Islam, as in Egypt and Iraq. It is legitimised by Islamic political theology, which says it is all right to kill someone if they are an enemy of Allah. But this is happening in Europe."

And Britain is headed in that direction.

As refugees from Idi Amin's Uganda, my family and I settled just outside of Vancouver in 1972. I grew up attending two types of schools: the secular public school of most North American kids and then, for several hours at a stretch every Saturday, the Islamic religious school (madressa).

I couldn't quite reconcile the open and tolerant world of my public school with the rigid and bigoted world inside my madressa.

I like the way she challenges non muslims.

My question for non-Muslims is equally basic: Will you succumb to the intimidation of being called "racists," or will you finally challenge us Muslims to take responsibility for our role in what ails Islam?

Britain - Anti-Bullying Week

As a parent of 3 school children, all of whom have suffered bullying at school, this is subject close to my heart. In every case I was able to get it stopped almost immediately with a simple technique.

First, I asked the school if they had plans and procedures to deal with bullies. All said they did.

Next, I asked them what was the proof that their plans and procedures worked. I got a blank stare followed by "what do you mean?". I replied, the proof they are working is that the bullying stops. If the bullying continues the plans and procedures obviously aren't working. It was if a light went on in their heads, they suddenly realized that there was a crucial element missing - action.

In one case this wasn't completely successful on the first attempt. At my oldest son's high school I had to confront the headmaster head on. He wasn't doing enough in my opinion as my son was still being bullied.

The solouton? I gave my son a mobile phone and told him to call me as soon as he was being bullied. I told the headmaster that as soon as my son called me I was calling him and I would continue to harass him until he stopped the harassment of my son. Further, I warned the headmaster that I would involve the police, local council and the media. He got the message.

The very next day my son was bullied. We put our plan into action and the headmaster took immediate action. It worked - no more bullying - and that was three years ago.

The key is parents getting tough with school officials and letting them know you won't stand for your child being bullied.

Jordan - Al-Zarqawi “disowned”

More good news in the fight against terrorism.

The Jordanian tribe of the leader of Al-Qaida in Iraq has published a declaration disowning him.

Khalayhleh-Bani Hassan placed front-page adverts in Jordanian newspapers repudiating itself from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The statement, directed at Jordan's King Abdullah II, read: "We absolutely denounce all terrorist acts adopted by Ahmad Fadel Nazzal al-Khalayleh, alias Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and affirm that we, the sons of the Khalayleh tribe, repudiate him.

"We announce, and all the people are our witnesses, that we - the sons of the al Khalayleh tribe - are innocent of him and all that emanates from him, whether action, assertion or decision.

"Those who dare to carry out such actions in our proud kingdom are not Jordanians and have no link whatsoever to Jordan, didn't drink its water and didn't enjoy its protection, because a Jordanian doesn't stab himself with his own spear and we sever links with him until doomsday."

Good for them.

This comes on the heels of hundreds of thousands of Jordanians marching against Zarqawi.

And there are other protest marches by Muslims around the world.

In Indonesia, they're enlisting Muslim clerics to help fight Muslim terrorists.

Now, why do you suppose MSM don't report more widely on these events?

America - What Bin Laden Really Wants

Listen up.

Osama bin Laden wants the United States to convert to Islam, ditch its constitution, abolish banks, jail homosexuals, bar women from appearing in the press and sign the Kyoto climate change treaty.

SMH is being a little coy here. It's not just the US bin Laden wants to convert to Islam, it's the entire world.

And the SMH leave out something else important Lawerence said about bin Laden.

“If you read him in his own words, he sounds like somebody who would be a very high-minded and welcome voice in global politics,” Lawrence said.

Only by the left Lawerence, only by the left.

Australia - They Lie About Iraq There Too

In the leadup to the Iraq war, we were repeatedly told that anyone who disagreed with the rush to war, or criticised the Bush Administration, was “anti-American”. It now appears that the majority of Americans are anti-American. A string of polls has shown that most Americans now realise that Bush and his Administration lied to get them into the war and that it was a mistake to go to war.

Well gee, John, if you were "repeatedly told" you would think you could supply at least one link to when and who told you that. No?

Ok, then how about some proof that Bush lied? No?

Jordan - Jordanians Denounce Al-Zarqawi Threats

Good news for us and bad news for Zarqawi.

Jordanians have rallied angrily against al-Qaida in Iraq and al-Zarqawi following the Nov. 9 triple hotel attacks that killed 62 people, including the three bombers.

Iraq - The Media Turn On Murtha

A few voices, sadly very few, in the media seem to get it.

And that's why we have such serious concerns about what Mr. Murtha, who voted for the war in Iraq in 2002, had to say about it last week. He called for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops. "The war in Iraq is not going as advertised," he said. "It is flawed policy wrapped in illusion."

The United States must pursue stability in Iraq "politically and diplomatically," Murtha added.

With terrorists?

Cut-and-run talk surely has emboldened terrorists operating in Iraq; actually tucking tail now surely would hand the forces of terror a great victory perhaps from which the world could not recover.

Iran - Admits Trying to Acquire Nuclear Weapons

After calling for Israel to be wiped off the map of the world, Iran is now calling for the destruction of Anglo-Saxon civilization.

President Ahmadinejad is a member of the Hojatieh sect, seen by many Shiite Muslims as verging on the lunatic fringe of Islam, and thought to be so extreme by Ayatollah Khomeini whose 1979 revolution overthrew the shah that it was driven underground in 1983. The Hojatieh sect is now very much back in favor with the new Iranian government, and the new president is a fervent admirer of its spiritual leader, Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, known in secular circles in Tehran as "the crazed one."

The new president has purged senior figures from the Iranian Foreign Ministry and Oil Ministry, to replace them with his own loyalists, many of them from the Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guard). In recent speeches, some of these newly powerful supporters of President Ahmadinejad have denounced any talk of compromise with the United States and the West in speeches that have been reported in the Iranian press and media.

General Mohammad Kossari, who runs the Revolutionary Guard's Security Department, has announced that "Iran intends to become a superpower and will drive all foreign forces out of our region."

"We have a strategy drawn up for the destruction of Anglo-Saxon civilization," declared Hassan Abbasi, formerly director of the Revolutionary Guard's Center for Security Doctrines Research, and now chief foreign policy adviser to the new President.

Did you catch that? "Iran intends to become a superpower..." There's only one way to do that and that's with nuclear weapons. So, Iran admits it is working on acquiring nuclear weapons.

These threats aren't limited to the Middle East.

Here in Britain the government stands idly by while there are calls for an Islamic State and the overthrow of the government.

And in America the Democrats are aiding the terrorists in Iraq.

I find it interesting that the story on Iran is from the editor of UPI. Are some in the media starting to get worried?

Iraq - Democrats Aiding Terrorists

Just like they did in Vietnam.

But there is one lone cry for sanity.

"The danger is that by spending so much time on the past here, we contribute to a drop in public support. Terrorists know that they cannot defeat us in Iraq, but they also know they can defeat us in America by breaking the will and steadfast support of the American people for this cause." Lieberman (Dem - Conn.}

Contribute? Hell, the Democrats along with the lying liberal media are leading the charge - just as they did in Vietnam.

Even Giap admitted in his memoirs that news media reporting of the war and the anti-war demonstrations that ensued in America surprised him. Instead of negotiating what he called a conditional surrender, Giap said they would now go the limit because America's resolve was weakening and the possibility of complete victory was within Hanoi's grasp.

How many more American troops lost their lives because of the Democrats and the lying liberal media? How many? The North Vietnamese were going to surrender until the Democrats and anti-war pimps like John Kerry went to their aid.

And

Bui Tin, who served on the general staff of the North Vietnamese army, received South Vietnam's unconditional surrender on April 30, 1975. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal after his retirement, he made clear the anti-war movement in the United States, which led to the collapse of political will in Washington, was "essential to our strategy." [Got that? The anti-war movement was "essential to our strategy" - just as it is in Iraq today]

Visits to Hanoi by Jane Fonda and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and various church ministers "gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses."

America lost the war, concluded Bui Tin, "because of its democracy. Through dissent and protest, it lost the ability to mobilize a will to win."

The communist led anti-war movement, with the help of the Democrats and the backing of the lying liberal media are trying to repeat history in Iraq. But just as we succeeded in liberating millions of Afghans in spite of the Democrats and the anti-war movement, we are succeeding in Iraq. Brave Iraqis who defied the terrorists and voted in the last two rounds of elections and who will vote next month, are proof of that.

Islam - Muslims Protesting Against Terrorism

Four years after 9/11 and attacks on Muslims around the world by Muslims, there are signs that many Muslims are starting to get the message - terrorism doesn't work. The West's resolve in the face of Muslim terrorism is much stronger than al Qaeda planned for.

Here's a lenghty post with pictures of Muslims demonstrating against terrorism and calling Zarqawi a coward. Now, what we need is mass demonstrations by Muslims against al Qaeda and calling bin Laden a coward.

Britain - Muslims Defy Government

Remember how, four months ago, Blair and Clarke said they would move swiftly to get rid of Muslim preachers of hate? To date not one has been deported while Bakri left on "vacation" and has applied for a visa to return.

Now, these Muslim preachers of hate are openly defying the government and challenging them to arrest them.

Muhammad al-Massari, a London-based Saudi extremist, has been allowing the forum pages of his website — www.tajdeed.net — to be used by terrorist groups. They include Al-Qaeda in Iraq, headed by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was responsible for the murder of Ken Bigley, the British hostage. [...]

Last week The Sunday Times disclosed that al-Massari’s website carried an attack on the Queen as one of the “severest enemies of Islam” from Ayman al-Zawahiri, Osama Bin Laden’s second in command. This was in defiance of a declaration by Blair that the “rules of the game” were changing. He said after the London bombings: “The new grounds [for deportation] will include fostering hatred, advocating violence to further a person’s beliefs, or justifying or validating such existence.”

Yet al-Massari’s website, which was shut down in May, has returned and has messages that incite Muslims to join the global jihad, and glorify the Al-Qaeda attack in Amman that left at least 60 people dead on November 9. [...]

In spite of Blairs pronouncements these preachers of hate are growing stronger.

In his response to the terrorist killing of 52 commuters on July 7, Blair also announced that the radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir and the offshoots of Al-Muhajiroun would be banned.

He said: “Those that. . . incite hatred or engage in violence against our country and its people have no place here.” A few days after his announcement, 10 foreign preachers were arrested. They are in police custody awaiting court hearings about their deportations.

But, more than four months later, Hizb ut-Tahrir remains active and is lobbying Muslims to challenge the new anti-terror legislation.

Al-Ghuraaba and the Saviour Sect, two offshoots of Al-Muhajiroun, which had kept a low profile since the summer, announced on Friday that they had merged into a stronger organisation.

The new group — Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (ASWJ) [Followers of the Prophet] — is headed by Anjem Choudary, who was second in command to the cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed before Al-Muhajiroun disbanded early this year.

And these groups are calling for Britain to become and Islamic state.

The leaflet claims that with 2,000 mosques in the country, countless madrassas, Muslim schools, halal butchers and restaurants, "Britain is already on the verge of becoming an Islamic State."

"The revival of Islamic awareness amongst the Muslims in the UK is at its fastest pace and more and more Muslims and non-Muslims are realising that there can be no negotiations with Islam, no negotiations with the implementation of the Khalafah and the Shari'ah law, it is an absolute inevitable."

They've called he Queen and enemy of Islam, called for Britain to become an Islamic state, called for our laws to be abandoned and replaced with Islamic law, called for British Muslims to join jihad, glorified terrorism and Blair does absolutely nothing. These Muslim preachers of hate are thumbing their noses at the government and al Qaeda continues plotting and planning. This is why London is known as Londonistan in the Muslim world.

The leaflet claims that with 2,000 mosques in the country, countless madrassas, Muslim schools, halal butchers and restaurants, "Britain is already on the verge of becoming an Islamic State."

Note there is no mention of Iraq or perceived persecution of Muslims around the world. There's simply the call for Britain to become an Islamic state and that there are no negotiations with Islam. This is their real goal.
