Afghanistan - al Qaeda's Failure

Now that Afghanistan has held their parliamentary elections with little bloodshed, it can be said al Qaeda and the Taleban have completely failed in that country. To rub salt into the wound women voted and there were even women candidates on the ballot.

Any Muslim going to Afghanistan to fight now, isn't fighting against America, they are fighting against democracy - just as in Iraq.

Note the way CNN downplay the Taleban's treatment of women.

In a demonstration of how much the country has changed since the Taliban were toppled nearly four years ago, many of the early voters at the Eid Gah mosque in Kabul were women, who, under the Taliban, had been barred from participating in national political life.

Women under the Taleban were pretty much barred from life as they could not have jobs or attend school.
