US - Harpers publishes Muhammad cartoons

Now this is odd. When an obscure magazine published the cartoons, Borders Books refused to sell the magazine and issued this statement:

“For us, the safety and security of our customers and employees is a top priority, and we believe that carrying this issue could challenge that priority.”

Which in itself was odd since Borders had already carried a magazine with the cartoons and Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace.

Now that a mainstream magazine like Harpers publishes the cartoons, suddenly, Borders has no problem with "safety and security of our customers and employees".

Maybe they are more concerned about profits.
