Europe hands over Palestinian aid

To terrorists.

The European Union has handed over 64m euros (£44m) in aid to help the poorest Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

But it said that future aid depended on the incoming Hamas government showing a commitment to work for peace, saying the group was "at a crossroads".

This dispite the fact that Hamas, a terrorist organization, has already stated that it will never recognize Israel.

But that doesn't stop the EU from giving them even more money.

The EU is due to give another 60m euros to cover official salaries and energy expenses for the Palestinian Authority.

Guess who's going to administer the money?

The money will be distributed via the United Nations.

Yeah, look how well that worked out with the UN - Iraq oil for food scandal.

And from the looks of who they handed the money over too, little has changed.

In Brussels on Monday, EU external relations commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner handed a cheque for 64m euros to Karen AbuZayed, of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
UNRWA has supported Hamas for years. This dispite the fact that Hamas is branded a terrorist organization by both the US and EU.

Hamas has been responsible for dozens of suicide bombings against Israel, and is branded a terrorist organisation by the EU and the US.

When handed the money, AbuZayed said, presumedly with a straight face, "She was insistent that Hamas, which has refused to recognise Israel or renounce violence, needs to fall into line with the international community. "

That's the way Karen, be "insistent" while handing them millions.

The EU is just a laughable.

"We leave the door open for positive change but at the same time we also have to make clear we cannot go soft on our principles," Ms Ferrero-Waldner said in Brussels.

What kind of principles are these? - giving millions to an organization that you have labled as terrorists and who refuse to renounce violence and Israel's right to exist.

Hamas's response?

A Hamas spokesman, Salah Bardawil, said the group recognised that the PA faced economic difficulties.

"But we will not go begging to the United States and Europe because we will not be blackmailed over our political positions," he said. [As he accepted the millions]

He said Hamas, an Islamic organisation, would seek new funding from the Islamic world.

Then give the money back if you're so high minded.

Nice to see him admit that Hamas is an Islamic terror organization.
